The new configuration of the PILOT unit allows the use of different interchangeable micronizer modules according to the capacities to be treated. The assembly is intended to accommodate the three models SSM 66, SSM 100 and SSM 150, while the entire periphery remains the same regardless of the micronizer used. Thus the control system, the product supply, and even the filtration module remain common. The great flexibility of the PILOT line brings to the user the production of small quantities and the mastery of scale-up projections towards large capacity micronizers.

Jet milling produces micrometric powders from sub-millimetric raw materials. The jet mill operates on the principle of particle collisions inside the process chamber with compressed gas driving the particles at supersonic speed. The frequency of the collisions and the high kinetic energy achieved by the particles are fundamental parameters in the particle size reduction process.

This c'GMP mill is able to accommodate the following modules:

Whatever the grinding chamber in place on the equipment, the peripherals, starting with the control system (PLC), all the peripherals remain the same since in particular the product feeder or the filtration module remain common to all configurations.

The flexibility of the PILOT line is more than just a tool when it comes to fulfilling the tasks inherent to the R&D activity in powder grinding. Schedio's solution allows for the production of very small batches up to the control of pilot batches with the possibility of establishing scale-up projections for a rigorous prediction of performance corresponding to the scale of future production.
