SOM | Opposed jet mill for extended automation possibilities
Grinding with opposed air jets allows the micronization of particles with high hardness, by radial collision of the flows. The micronization chamber has no moving mechanical parts, resulting in almost wear-free operation, and consequently, a product free from contamination.
The fluidization generated in the process chamber contributes to optimizing the micronization. With the possibility of providing the body of its process chamber in titanium, the SOM opposed jet micronizer offers increased performances. This micronization equipment is accompanied by peripheral components intended, as required, for further automation for a concept of autonomous production.
The micronized product output module has a dynamic classifier. This makes it possible to select the fineness of micronization by varying its speed of rotation, so the target result can be achieved, and reproduced, by extending the residence time of the biggest particles, thus a narrow PSD can be reached.
